Nüde H20

No additives. No plastic. Just water.

Did you know that the production of bottled water is one of the largest contributors to the declining state of our environment today? Every year, roughly 1.5 million tonnes of plastic are used to bottle 89 billion litres of water to satisfy the consumer trend for ‘healthy’ bottled water. Add to this the energy required in the manufacturing process and the fossil fuels used in transportation for distribution and it’s easy to see why Nude H20 are so passionate about offering an ecologically sound alternative to bottled water.

Many of us believe that bottled water is better for us, or offers certain health benefits not found in tap water, but a recent study of 103 different brands of bottled water showed that an estimated 25% or more of bottled water is actually just tap water in a bottle. Some of this water had been filtered or treated, and some had not. The truth is, when you buy bottled water, you might just be paying for what already comes out of your tap. We are lucky that here in Australia, the water that comes out of our taps IS safe for drinking. However, Nude H20 recommends fitting a water filter to the tap in your kitchen sink or investing in a reusable water filter jug or dispenser for your home in order to enjoy the purest water possible.

Nude H20 are encouraging all of us to make a positive change by forgoing bottled water in favour of refilling reusable eco-friendly water bottles such as those on offer from Nude H20. Their bottles are built to last and each bottle is fashioned from a single piece of aluminium, eliminating the need for plastic lining. The bottles are 100% recyclable and come with two different lids — a clip-on lid and a pop-up sports lid.

Nude H20 bottles will be available online at www.nudeh20.com from October 2009.
